POLICE SHOOT-OUT - Nitro Police says officers shot and killed a domestic violence suspect after he opened fire on the officer near the Nitro boat ramps.
An officer responded to domestic dispute around 10 p.m. While en route, the officer was advised the suspect fled in an orange jeep and was headed to the Nitro boat ramps.
The officer saw the suspect in this vehicle and approached the vehicle. That's when the suspect started shooting, police said.
The officer fired back, killing the man.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
