WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Ravenswood Man Weilds Knife

(07/31/2015)
Officers with the Ravenswood Police Department arrested a man after receiving multiple calls about a man breaking into homes wielding a knife.

Officers first heard about the break-ins when the first victim called around 3:15 a.m. Thursday, saying that a man had broken into his home with a knife.

That man, later identified as Luke Caldwell, had told the victim he was going to kill him if he did not give him money and drugs, according to the criminal complaint.

The victim then turned on the kitchen light, which caused Caldwell to run away.

Officers received another call around 6:15 a.m. from the victim, who said that Caldwell was hiding in the alley near his home.

Officers were able to locate Caldwell and bring him back to the victim's home so he could be identified. After officers took Caldwell to the police station for processing, the first victim called officers and told them his neighbor's home had also been broken into.

The second victim's stolen items were recovered in the bushes near where Caldwell was hiding.

Caldwell is being charged with two counts of Nighttime Burglary and one count of Armed Robbery.

He is being held at the South Central Regional Jail.
