Dale C. Fowler, 95 - Newark, Ohio

Dale C. Fowler, 95, of Newark, Ohio, formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away July 25, 2015, at the Inn at SharonBrooke. He was a wonderful man whose smile and positive attitude made him deeply loved by all who knew him.

He was born May 27, 1920, in Grantsville, W.Va., a son of the late Frank and Elfie Fowler.

He was a proud veteran of World War II having served three years in the Army. He retired from the West Virginia State Road Commission after 30 years as a survey crew foreman. He was a devout member of the Church of Christ attending Marrtown Church of Christ while living in Parkersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Inez Fowler; two sisters, Velma McEndree and Geraldine Wallace; and three brothers, Durward Fowler, Edward Fowler and Victor Fowler.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Carl) Pyles of Newark, Ohio, and Brenda Trubiana (Tom) Trubiana of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Dee (Andrew) Kossoff of Bexley, Ohio, Justin (Lakana) Trubiana of Memphis, Tenn., and Alicia Trubiana of San Francisco, Calif.; one great grandchild, Sophie Kossoff; and siblings, Glen (Dorothy) Fowler, Madeline Moore of Grantsville, W.Va., Imogene (Junior) Hoskins of Parkersburg, W.Va., Foster Fowler of Ridgeville, Ohio, and Oleva Gainer of Elizabeth, Pa.

Service will be noon Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Parkersburg, W.Va., with Minister Randy Yerby officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, where military rites will be held. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon, with the service following from noon-1 p.m.

Immediately following the burial service, a reception will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in the State room.
