2015: JEREMY WOLFE SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS IN BRAXTON COURT - Murdered Burnsville Woman In 2014, Captured In Calhoun

A Gilmer County man, Jeremy Wolfe, 29, charged with the murder of Crystal Erin Dean, 36, of Burnsville, has entered into a plea deal in Braxton Circuit Court, which resulted in a 40 year prison sentence.

Wolfe entered a plea of guilty to 2nd degree murder in Dean's brutal death.

Prosecuting Attorney Kelly Hamon McLaughlin requested the maximum sentence of 40 years.

Wolfe also waived his right to a pre-sentence investigation and asked the judge to be sentenced immediately. After consideration Judge Richard A. Facemire sentenced Wolfe to the maximum sentence of 40 years.

Wolfe was returned to the Central Regional Jail to await transfer to the state penitentiary.

The Dean murder happened in October, 2014.

Dean disappeared after leaving Bone's Bar in Burnsville, accompanied by Wolfe and a friend.

Police discovered the partially nude body of Dean lying in Oil Creek along Oil Creek Road near Burnsville.

Wolfe eluded police until he was discovered hiding out at the Henry Hawk property on Meadow Run in Calhoun, and was taken into custody by a SWAT team.

Wolfe had also been facing a sexual assault charges against another woman.
