| A PA man was killed in a single vehicle crash on Rt. 47 in Wirt County Wednesday evening.
The accident happened on Route 47 near the Newark Road area.
Sergeant R.E. Richardson says David B. Herbst Sr., 54, of Shirleysville, Pennsylvania, was driving west when he lost lost control and crashed into an embankment.
Herbst was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
