Virginia A. Paxton, 87, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. She was born June 3, 1928, at Gandeeville, a daughter of the late Howard Early and Goldie Faye Morrison Riley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Paxton, August 6, 2012; brothers, Wayne, Darrell and Bruce Riley; and sister, Mary Whited. Mrs. Paxton was a former employee of Kellwood Corporation, Spencer and a member of the Gandeeville United Methodist Church, Gandeeville. Survivors include a son, John David Riley of Spencer WV; daughter, Sharon Paxton of Gandeeville; grandson, Kenneth Allen Paxton of Walton WV; granddaughter, Crystal Lowe of Walton; brothers, Frank Riley and James Riley both of Spencer; sisters, Ella Mae Tatar of Cleveland, Ohio and Judy Harper of Savannah GA. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Burial will be in the Lyle M.
