Virginia A. Paxton, 87 - Gandeeville

Virginia A. Paxton, 87, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She was born June 3, 1928, at Gandeeville, a daughter of the late Howard Early and Goldie Faye Morrison Riley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Paxton, August 6, 2012; brothers, Wayne, Darrell and Bruce Riley; and sister, Mary Whited.

Mrs. Paxton was a former employee of Kellwood Corporation, Spencer and a member of the Gandeeville United Methodist Church, Gandeeville.

Survivors include a son, John David Riley of Spencer WV; daughter, Sharon Paxton of Gandeeville; grandson, Kenneth Allen Paxton of Walton WV; granddaughter, Crystal Lowe of Walton; brothers, Frank Riley and James Riley both of Spencer; sisters, Ella Mae Tatar of Cleveland, Ohio and Judy Harper of Savannah GA.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Burial will be in the Lyle M. Paxton Cemetery, Walton. Friends may call two hours before the funeral.
