UPDATE: CLAY MAN CHARGED IN MURDER OF ROOM MATE

UPDATE - Authorities have charged Indore, Clay County resident Zachary Daniels, 26, with the shooting death of his roommate and cousin Brian Deboard, 33. Senior Trooper S. L. Bass, along with other members of the Clay Detachment, were dispatched Wednesday night to investigate and took Daniels into custody without incident. The Troop 4 Crime Scene Team also responded to assist with the investigation, with officers recovering a 9mm handgun used in the incident. Police indicated the two were involved in a physical altercation over rent, Zachary Daniels saying he gained control of a 9mm semi-automatic weapon, which was used to shoot Deboard. The complaint indicates up to three shots were fired. ORIGINAL STORY 10 AM THURSDAY - An Indore, Clay County man has been charged in the shooting death of his roommate after they engaged in a physical altercation. Police have arrested Zachary Issah Daniels, 26. Trooper S. L. Bass identified the victim as Brian Deboard. Deboard was found dead when police arrived.
