FLASH FLOOD DUMPS UP TO FIVE INCHES OF RAIN ON REGIONAL COUNTIES

Flash flooding struck a number of counties from Wood to Webster late Sunday night, with up to five inches of rain falling within an hour.

Vehicles were swept away and residents of Mineral Wells were trapped in, and on top of their homes.

Twenty-five water rescues reported in Mineral Wells.

Residents reported water being chest-high.

There was flooding in Wood, Wirt, Clay, Braxton and Webster, with some homes,businesses and roadways heavily damaged.

There was extensive damaged at Webster Memorial Hospital.
