POLICE RESPOND TO BIG BEND DISPUTE - Subject Sitting In Highway

(07/07/2015)
The Calhoun Sheriffs Department and units from the West Virginia State Police responded to several 911 calls about 3:45 p.m. Monday with reports of what was called a domestic dispute.

Officers and an ambulance from Minnie Hamilton EMS went to the location just east of Big Bend on State Rt. 5, with one person being taken to a hospital and another likely taken into custody.

According to 911, a caller said one of the subjects was "sitting in the middle of the road (Rt. 5)," apparently wanting to be struck by a car.

Authorities indicated the parties had been involved in a similar incident previously.
