WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Three Shot In Bar Dispute

(07/06/2015)
CHARLESTON SHOOTING - Three people are recovering after police say they were shot at a Charleston bar, the Monkey Barrel, early Saturday morning.

Detectives say Melissa Tate, Kianna Brock and Andre Williams were all shot. Their injuries are not considered life threatening.

According to a criminal complaint, Dereck Brown was arrested a few minutes after that shooting. He is accused of hiding a gun in a nearby vehicle while police where trying to question him outside of the bar.

Brown is charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. He is a convicted felon. At this point, police do not know if he was the actual gunman in Saturday's shooting.

WV ABCA Commissioner Ronald Moats has suspended the Monkey Barrel's liquor license for ten days while they also investigate.

TEEN SHOOTS PELLET GUN - Charleston police officers are searching for a teenager accused of shooting a man with a pellet gun during an attempted robbery.

Police say the 64-year-old victim was walking near his home on Brooks Street around 8:00 a.m. when he was approached by a teenage boy who demanded his money.

The victim told the suspect he didn't have any money, and tried to walk away. That's when the victim told police he heard several loud pops and was hit by a pellet.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

CLARKSBURG STABBING - A Harrison County man is facing charges after a reported stabbing on Saturday in the Stealey area of Clarksburg.

Clarksburg Police said George Roland McMullen, 36, is charged with malicious wounding.

Police said McMullen had a warrant out for his arrest on a previous charge last month.

McMullen is accused of stabbing a man who was seen with bandages around his head after the incident, and was taken to a local hospital in a personal vehicle for treatment.

Police found McMullen not far from where the incident happened.

Clarksburg Police are continuing its investigation.
