Lights On at Pleasant Hill is sponsoring a Building Blocks program for children ages 3 through 10. The program is each
Saturday until the end of December. Parents may bring their children anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. but must
pre-register. Sheila Garretson and Mary Muncie are the instructors for Building Blocks.
The children participate in crafts, games and other activities. They receive a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack.
Children do not have to attend each Saturday and do not have to stay all day. This program not only gives the children an
educational opportunity, but gives the parents a break to clean house, shop, or other activities knowing their child is well taken
care of.
On a recent Saturday, Curt Garretson brought out the fire truck for the students. They
each received the opportunity to wear a fireman's suit and ride in the truck.
