The Elizabeth VFDs 37th annual ice cream social is July 4th, not only special ice cream, but numerous entertainment events. 8 am - Firecracker 5k fun run/walk. Registration begins at 7am 11 am - Fireman's Parade 11:50 am - Opening ceremony with national anthem and prayer Noon-1:45 pm - "Daysping" (Gospel) 2-3:45 pm "Northwest Territory" (Bluegrass) 4-6 pm Auction by John Jones 6-7:45 pm - "Plan B" 8:30-10 pm "Mixx" 10 pm - Fireworks... The best place to watch them is on Schoolview Street which is the street the fire station is on. Music will accompany the display Door prizes every hour.
