PROJECT MOVE CLOTHING DRIVE - AmeriCorps Family Mentor Service

(11/28/2002)
Dear Community Member,

We are AmeriCorps Members working with Project MOVE based at the Community Resources Inc. office in Calhoun County. We work as Family Mentors, assisting members of the community in becoming more self-sufficient. Some of the services that we offer are assistance with resumes, computer classes and tutoring for GED and driver's license practice testing. Another activity that we must complete during our service year is to establish an ongoing project that will continue after our term expires.

This year we have chosen to start a clothing closet that will collect various work attire to be used by our clients in their effort to improve themselves, search for jobs and/or begin a career. This closet will be located in the Community Resource Inc. office and kept aside for the specific use as stated in the project's guidelines.

As community members, this is your opportunity to help make a difference. Your donations of new or gently used career clothing, shoes, scrubs, etc. will be accepted at CRI during regular office hours. Please be sure to let the CRI contact person know that these items are for the career closet project. If you should have any questions or comments, please contact one of the members at 354-9265.

Sincerely,

Donna (Baker) Steigleder
