It was a lucky day for drivers in Calhoun crashes.

A male driver lost control of his truck Wednesday night on State Rt. 16, Mt. Zion and crashed into a WV Department of Highways truck, parked at the department's garage.

The driver's vehicle was totaled with extensive damage to the parked truck.

The driver escaped without serious injury, but was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System by EMS following the 8:30 p.m. incident.

State Police, investigating the incident, indicated the driver was likely under the influence.
