Oleta Mae (Deuley) Tallhamer, 86 - Beatrice

Oleta Mae (Deuley) Tallhamer, 86, of Beatrice WV, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 24, 2015 in Parkersburg WV.

She was born September 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Curtis and Stella (Yeager) Deuley.

She was a member of the Glenville Community Church in Glenville, WV. She was married for 46 years to the late Samuel John Tallhamer. She was a cook for 21 years at the Smithville Elementary School in Ritchie County, WV. She enjoyed camping, quilting, gardening, spending time with her family, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lettie Wilson and Freda Yeager; four brothers, George Deuley, Luther Deuley, Everett "Jake" Deuley, and Russell "Boone" Deuley.

She is survived by two sisters, Blondina Richards of Mt. Zion WV and Tressie Buskirk of Belpre OH; seven children, Dorothy (Errol) Kennedy of Grantsville WV,m Linda Atkinson of Sandyville WV, Marion (Randy) Gaston of Harrisville WV, Barbara (Doy) Parsons of Big Springs WV, Carol (Mike) Wilson and Rex (Rachel) Tallhamer both of Beatrice WV, and Diane Haught (fiancé Kevin Prunty) of Washburn WV; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Samuel John Tallhamer, in the Turner Cemetery, Lockney, WV.
