Ruth Ann Nichols, 77 - Left Hand

Ruth Ann Nichols, 77, of Left Hand, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, West Virginia after a long illness.

She was born January 18, 1938 in Spencer, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William "Bill" Wilson and Ida Waggoner Wilson McCune. She loved singing, sewing, her garden, taking care of her family, and being a foster parent. She was also a member of the Left Hand Independent Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 60 years, Coy Nichols; three daughters, Sharon Salisbury and Kathy Nichols, both of Newton, West Virginia, and Donna Jones of Ripley, West Virginia; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several foster children over a period of years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Hubert Glen Nichols; a great-grandson, Nathan Jones; two brothers, John and Herbert Wilson; and two half-brothers, Gary and Ronnie McCune.

Service will be at noon on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow in the Snodgrass Cemetery near Linden/Tariff, West Virginia. Visiting is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
