Clara Tibble Hickel Stowers, 87 - Spencer

Clara Tibble Hickel Stowers, 87, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Miletree Center in Spencer. She was born October 6, 1927 in Gay, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Roy and Zella West Tibble. < Clara was an employee of Kellwood Company with over 30 years of service. She loved singing in church and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and Christian. She is survived by two daughters, Diana Donalson and Donna Funk; sons-in-law, Richard Donalson and Brinton Funk, all of Spencer; grandsons, Jeremiah and Jason Donalson of Spencer and Bradley Funk of Clendenin, West Virginia; one great-granddaughter, Clovie Donalson; and three step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Hickel and Paul Stowers; two sisters, Opal Epling and Irene Parsons; and one brother, Marvin Tribble. Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
