| James Ray Fought, 63, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday June 9, 2015, surrounded by his family. Jim was the son of the late Harry and Wauneta (Shears) Fought. He was retired from Century Block of Parkersburg WV as a truck driver, and was a member of the Teamster Local 175 of Parkersburg WV for 35 years. Jim enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Linda (Dowler) Fought; 2 sisters, Angela "Sue" Ross of Palestine WV, and Regina "Ann" Metheny (Mike) of Billings WV; sister-in-law Jill Fought of Elizabeth; mother-in-law Sarah Dowler of Parkersburg WV; several other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both his parents, 3 brothers, Danny Shears, June Fought, and Chuck Fought; 1 nephew Doug Stewart, and father-in-law Emmitt Dowler Sr. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of ELizabeth WV, with the Rev. Everett Snyder officiating. Friends and family calling hours will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fought Cemetery of Newark WV.
