It was a large assemblage, the Veteran's Day memorial celebration at Parkersburg's City Park yesterday.

Dozens of veteran's groups, ROTC's, military personnel and lots of old soldiers came to the parade with family members, listened to the speakers, enjoyed the music from both Parkersburg high schools and applauded a military fly-over.

The emotion of the crowd moved from wildly applauding and cheering to the shedding of tears, remembering loved ones who gave their lives.
