SNAKES AND RAPTORS VISIT PLEASANT HILL SCHOOL

During Wildlife Day at Pleasant Hill school on Monday. Mr. Moose of the Cranberry Glades Visitors' Center displayed 20 non-poisonous snakes and 2 poisonous snakes that are all native to West Virginia. He told students how to be safe around snakes and shared lots of information about them.

Mr. Travis of the Raptor Rehabilitation Center in Fairmont brought 2 birds that are currently in the center for rehabilitation. One was native to West Virginia and the other was not. He discussed the different habitats where raptors live and the steps the center takes to rehabilitate and return the birds to their native environment.
