Dorothy Marie "Nan" Pinson, 72 - Cross Lanes

Dorothy Marie "Nan" Pinson, 72, of Cross Lanes, West Virginia formerly of Spencer, West Virginia died May 31, 2015 at her home in Cross Lanes.

Nan was born October 17, 1942 in New Mexico, a daughter of the late Virgil and Florence Chambers Thompson. She was a homemaker, formerly worked at Handimart in Spencer, enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Pinson and Pam Neff, both of Cross Lanes; three sons, Mike Pinson of Spencer, Melvin Pinson of Cross Lanes, and Todd Pinson of Texas; one sister, Wanda King of Texas; one brother, James Thompson of Texas; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Markes T. "Pinky" Pinson; two sisters, Irene Baker and Carolyn Sebastian; two brothers, Alvin and Jerry Thompson; and a daughter-in-law, Angela Carper Pinson.

Service 1:00pm Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
