C. "Lee" Parsons, 65 - Elizabeth

C. "Lee" Parsons, 65 of Elizabeth WV passed away May 25, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Lee was born in Wirt County the son of the late Perry and Alice (Deem) Parsons.

He was a graduate of Wesleyan Holiness Academy of Point Pleasant WV. He proudly served in the United States Army as a front line medic during the war in Vietnam.

He owned Lee's Sharpening Service of Elizabeth WV for over 30 years, and was retired from the Wirt County Board of Education after 20 years of service as a custodian. He enjoyed wood working and loved being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Jennie Parsons; 3 daughters, May Lynch (Charles) of Elizabeth, Maria Jones (Bub) of Newark WV, Brandy Parsons (Paul Hancock Jr.) of Elizabeth; 6 grandchildren, Danielle Watson, Ally and Alexis Jones, Jennie Burroughs, Gavin and Devin Nichols; 2 brothers, Larry Parsons (Kim) of Mineral Wells WV, and Lester Parsons (Debbie) of Ellenboro WV; 1 sister, Bonnie Enoch (George) of Elizabeth; 2 half sisters, Freda and Faye Parsons of Ohio; special nephew, Larry "Corky" Parsons (Misty) of Pennsboro WV; and several other nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Casto, stepmother, Eugena Parsons; 1 brother, Charles Parsons; and 2 sisters, Lucille Ledsome and one infant sister.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday May 29, 2015 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with the Rev. Delmas Stutler officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of the service.

Military Graveside Rites will be held at Wolverton Cemetery of Munday, WV by American Legion Post 15.
