WILT FAMILY EXPRESSES GRATITUDE

I am writing to thank you and the Hur Herald for your efforts on behalf of my mother, Rose Wilt.

See MISSING GRANTSVILLE WOMAN ROSE WILT, 75, FOUND IN WOODED AREA WITH BROKEN ANKLE - Grantsville Firemen Locate Woman In Simons Run Area

The children in my family all live in other states, two in Nevada and three in Texas. We are so grateful to the wonderful community of Calhoun County for the out-pouring of love, prayers and support.

Your report on my missing mother and the follow up story announcing she had been found was a life line to us. Words cannot express our family's gratitude for all that was done to find our beloved mother.

The information the Hur Herald put out there along with her picture was very helpful and generated reports from at least three people who had seen my mother the evening before she disappeared.

The Calhoun County Committee on Aging has been a wonderful resource for my parents and were able to provide the recent photo of my mother as well as a silver alert on their facebook page.

We are also very thankful for the efforts of the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department, Calhoun OES Director Kathy Woods and Officer McDonald for their efforts.

Thanks to the many volunteers and the caring people of the small community there in Grantsville, WV and the grace of God, our mother was found.

The sense of community and the support shown by all involved has touched our family in a most profound way. The feelings of helplessness and despair were replaced by feelings of support and gratitude. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

Sincerely,

Kateri Whiteside
