The Annamoriah Cowpoke was calling on Euell Russell and his brother Bob at the Miletree facility in Spencer. He was also visiting other family and friends. He noted that he had gone on a deep sea cruise earlier in the year and that when they were about to leave international waters and return to U. S. jurisdiction the captain came on the loudspeaker and advised those with contraband and illegal things to dispose of them. The old poke said he was out on the deck and he heard all sorts of things being thrown overboard and splashing in the water.

The peonies were at their prime so they could be taken to decorate graves for Decoration [Memorial] Day. However, most of the flowers put on graves were artificial. Locally and elsewhere graveyards were mowed and trimmed.

Lots of folks were in from Ohio and elsewhere for the weekend and several were riding four wheelers in the Creston area taking full advantage of the spectacular weather. Speaking of weather the Big Eared One told some of the military that the Moslem terrorists, Russian dictators & expansionist Chinese weren't the problem but that it was 'global warming' a/k/a 'climate change'. There was so much 'global warming' that it snowed In New England.

Farm & Dairy reports that now the bird flu pestilence is in at least 15 states impacting millions & millions of birds. As a result chicken and eggs will obviously go up in price and many states, including Pennsylvania are banning avian competition at agricultural fairs & festivals. It would appear that the appropriate government agencies are doing nothing, perhaps because they are too busy complying with federal guidelines for sexual diversity, racial set asides and harassment of honest citizens who are trying to work and make a living.

The elites keep trying to foist little Jebbie on the nation as the Republican nominee like they did with other winners like Bob Dole, Wendell Wilkie, Thomas Dewey, Mitt Romney and Sen. McVain. Now it has been learned that Jeb's education company paid Madame Hillary $225,000 for a speech in Dallas last year.

The status of the proposed ethane cracker at Washington Bottom remains unclear. While the existing plant is said to being demolished and the new company didn't let local farmers plant the fields the talk from the political folks who were all "gung ho" is now tepid with excuses such as the price of the ethane, the raw material is "too cheap". Meantimes a Bangkok Siam company is planning a $5 billion facility in Belmont County Ohio. They have a Japanese partner Marubeni and are looking for another financial partner. Because of bad economic policies it seems that American firms no longer have the cash to invest in major projects. The "income equality" folks have made a bad impact so that the new wealthy will be in foreign nations with poor Americans.
