Dotty Lou DePue, 74 - Spencer

Dotty Lou DePue, 74, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer. She was born February 3, 1941 at Tariff, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Jake and Opal Curry Evans.

She was a 1959 graduate of Spencer High School and received her diploma from Mountain State College. She formerly worked at Mon Power and was a member of Wetzel Chapter #27 Order of the Eastern Star and a member and attended the Gilboa Baptist Church. Since its origination and up until two months ago, she worked at DePue Oil Company Inc.

Dotty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bryan DePue; a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan Frederick "Fred" and Teresa DePue of Spencer; a sister, Delores Brannon of Pineville, West Virginia; and three nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Junior Evans.

Service will be at 11:00am on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Visiting will be Saturday morning from 8:30am until time of the service. Per Dotty's wishes, she will be cremated and the ashes buried at the DePue Cemetery on the family farm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gilboa Baptist Church, P.O. Box 437, Spencer, WV 25276.
