| The on again off again establishment of a large frozen food plant in Parkersburg is on.
Ground-breaking happened yesterday for the $36 million dollar Luigino's food
company, which Parkersburg officials said could hire up to 600 people.
The 250,000 square foot plant will be located at the Parkersburg Business Park at
Mineral Wells.
The plant will have five high-speed processing lines that will produce up to 30 million
cases of frozen entrees every year.
The main products are Michelina's and Budget Gourmet frozen packages.
The plant is expected to be in operation in about one year, and could offer some work
opportunities for regional residents.
