ACKLEY WILL BE SENTENCED MONDAY FOR MULTI-OFFENSES

Gary Lee Ackley, 29, will appear in Calhoun Circuit Court Monday for sentencing for multi-offenses.

Ackley was indicted on two counts of grand larceny, both felonies; two counts of transfer of stolen goods, both felonies; and trespassing, a misdemeanor.

Grantsville Chief Andrew Walker, after an investigation, charged Ackley with crimes involving a stolen four wheeler and an aluminum topper which were reported missing from Dominion Transmission, Inc. in June, 2014.

Prosecutor Johnson said Ackley was also indicted for driving under the influence, third or subsequent offense, a felony; fleeing while driving under the influence, a felony; and driving revoked for DUI, a misdemeanor.

Ackley was charged with these offenses following a pursuit by Senior Trooper Varner. The pursuit began in Gilmer County and ended on Bull River Road in Calhoun County in October, 2014.
