The incident was reportedly related to a dispute between neighbors and their children, while sources at the scene indicated the dispute followed the arrow-shooting of a "large vicious dog."

Reports indicated the dog was still alive when 911 was called.

The incident happened about 2 p.m. on the right fork of Rush Run (Orma) about 2 p.m. Sunday.

Police are investigating.
