MINNIE HAMILTON PROPOSING NEW STATE-OF-ART MEDICAL FACILITY - Donations Through Local MOV Campaign

(05/12/2015)

Minnie Hamilton Health System, Inc will take
part in the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation
(PACF)'s Give Local MOV Campaign on Tuesday, May 5

Steve Whited, Minnie Hamilton Health System CEO says, "As you may be aware, Minnie Hamilton Health System has proudly served Calhoun and the surrounding counties for over sixty years. Since our opening in 1959, our facility has seen countless changes to fit the varying needs of the community, and we have risen to each challenge to make the changes happen. The biggest change is yet to come, and we need your help to make it a reality."

Whited says, "The time has come for us to build a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in which to better serve our patients and expand our services.

"In our discussions with local engineers and accountants, we have determined that the hospital needs to raise $2 million to make the project feasible," said Whited.

We realize $2 million is a daunting task, and it is not one we are taking lightly. We understand it will take time to get there, but the hospital and our employees are committed to making it happen."

"On Tuesday, May 5, Minnie Hamilton Health System, Inc will take part in the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF)'s Give Local MOV Campaign. Last year, the Campaign raised over $115,000 in 24 hours for 38 local programs. The PACF has already reserved $20,000 in matching funds from Parkersburg's Superior Toyota-Hyundai and hopes to reach $50,000 in matching funds before the Campaign Day - meaning a large portion of the donations the PAFC receives on MHHS's behalf will be matched!" said Whited.

To make a donation, you can visit www.givelocalmov.org  and search for "Minnie Hamilton Health System" in the search engine provided at any time on May 5. All major debit and credit cards will be accepted. Donating online will allow the PACF to generate an automatic Charitable Contribution Receipt e-mail to all donors for tax deduction purposes. However, if necessary, donors may write a check to MHHS and we will remit the funds accordingly. I sincerely thank you for your time and consideration in this matter, and for your continued patronage. We can, and will, reach our goal one donation and fundraiser at a time."

In addition to Minnie Hamilton Health System, Inc., Little Kanawha Area Grant-making Fund is also participating from the Little Kanawha Area.
