CELEBRATING A LIFE: HONORING JANET "PEGGY" KIGHT

Janet 'Peggy' Kight 1938 ~ 2014

A special celebration for the life of former Calhoun resident Janet "Peggy" Kight is set for May 2 from 2-4 p.m. at Mountain State College in Parkersburg.

She died September 13, 2014 at the age of 76.

She was the daughter of the late Dallas R. and Gene Hope Ayers Kight of White Pine, a graduate of Calhoun County High School with the class of 1956 and Mountain State Business College where she was later employed as an instructor for over 40 years.

She was also very proud of serving in the Women's Army Corps from 1959 to 1963.

A full military honor guard will be conducted at 2:15 p.m.

A college spokesperson said, "Anyone who knew Peggy knew she loved teaching at Mountain State for more than 40 years. She loved her students and the Mountain State staff."

"We're inviting all her acquaintances to share treasured stories and memories of her life."
