EARLY WSAZ-TV PERSONALITY AND WEATHERMAN JULE HUFFMAN HAS DIED AT 90

(04/17/2015)

In olden days when the world was black and white, at least on TV, and residents of Calhoun and the regional rural counties could get one channel, two at the most, WSAZ-TV personality and weatherman Jule Huffman was bigger than life.

Huffman, also known as "Mr. Cartoon," has died at age 90.

He was a weather reporter at WSAZ for 38 years, but will mostly be remembered as "Mr. Cartoon."

Huffman often came to rural communities for personal appearances.

"I ended programs and I'll say it again...don't forget cartooners, it's getting close to the weekend now, go to your church, synagogue. Don't forget to get to say your prayer. Don't forget thank you and I'm sorry. Politeness is so strong. That's what I want them to do," Jule said.

"I really did love my time at WSAZ. I want to let the children know I loved you all... You made my life something special. God Bless you all. Thank you."

Now we have SpongeBob, with no one to explain his inhumanity.
