Gary D. Grogg, 74 - Medina OH

Gary D. Grogg, 74, of Medina OH, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was born September 25, 1940 in Douglas, WV. Gary retired as a maintenance foreman for Plasti-Kote/Valspar after 32 years of service.

He enjoyed traveling, loved NASCAR, and was an avid sports fan. Above all, Gary's grandchildren were the love of his life. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps and will be buried with full Military Honors at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife Alma (Wheeler) Grogg, to whom he was married 38 years; dear children, Ricky Moore, Sherry (Fred) Drogell, Inajo Allen, Kimberly Phillips and Karri Walker; loving grandchildren Latisha, Melinda, Brandon, Amber, Devon, T.J., Austin, Savanna, and Tyler; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Ted; sisters Norma, Loretta and Jean; and step brothers Bill and Mike.

He is preceded in death by his father Ora Grogg, mother Gertrude (Lamb) Grogg; his step-mother Vola (Ward) Grogg; brothers Bob, Frank, and Paul; and his sisters, Lottie, Sue and Carolyn.

Services will be held Friday, April 17, at 4:00 P.M., at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Family will receive friends Friday from 3-4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
