DOMESTIC STABBING DEATH - A man who was stabbed Tuesday morning in Kenova has died from his injuries.

The stabbing happened at a home just before 8 a.m.

Police Chief Ray Mossman says the incident was domestic, related to an inflammatory posting on Facebook.

The victim was Alan James Parsons, who was in his mid-to-late 20s.

A person was detained for questioning.

UTILITY WORKER SHOT - A bizarre scene unfolded Monday afternoon in the Lincoln County community of Sumerco, leaving a man with a gunshot wound to the hand.

According to West Virginia State Police, HG Energy, which is a natural gas company, received a call about a possible gas leak along Joe's Creek Road.

When the employee responded to the call about 2 p.m. Monday, a man came out of the woods dressed in camouflage with a black painted face.

Troopers say the man played an audio recording to the gas company worker and the man put a gun against the employee's head.

Police say the employee tried to grab the gun and attempted to drive away, but was shot in the hand.

Police are looking for the man.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his hand injury.

CHARLESTON STABBING - A man was stabbed several times in Charleston, West Virginia late Tuesday night after confronting another who was stealing gasoline.

According to Kanawha County dispatch, the man confronted the alleged gas thief who then stabbed him several times with a razor blade.

Despite his injuries, the man was able to disarm his attacker.

No description of the suspect.

MORGANTOWN ROBBERY - State Police are continuing their investigation into a robbery at the Copper Beach Towne Homes, a popular living spot for WVU students.

They believe that two men broke into one of the town homes at around 2:15 AM, showed pistols to the residents, and then demanded drugs and then fled.

West Virginia State Police and the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.

MAN ROBBED - Investigators say they have leads in a robbery that happened at a Kanawha County home where thousands of dollars worth of belongings were taken.

The incident was reported about 12:30 a.m. Monday on Falcon Drive between Charleston and Sissonville.

Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies say the 63-year-old victim answered his door when two men forced their way inside, bound the victim and went through his belongings before leaving with thousands of dollars in cash and other items.

Deputies say some of the man's property has already been found.
