Ronnie Brooks Batten, 68 - Spencer

Ronnie Brooks Batten, 68, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away at home on April 8, 2015.

He was born September 17, 1946 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Richard "Dick" Batten and Ella Mae Greathouse Batten.

He worked as a Heating and Cooling Electrician and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Hellen Barnhouse Batten of Spencer, West Virginia; two daughters, Crystal (Wayne) Harper and Amber (Donnie) Sloan of Spencer; two sons, Jamie (Staci) Batten and Jeff (Sandy) Batten of Spencer; one step-son Barry (Debra) Mace of Spencer; two brothers, James (Margaret) Batten and Paul (Sheri) Hunt of Spencer; a sister, Mary Kay Turner of Spencer; one sister-in-law, Tena Batten of Akron, Ohio; four granddaughters, Holli Harper, Hannah and Brianna Batten and Hailey Sloan of Spencer; four grandsons, Dakota Harper, Matt and Brody Batten, and Austin Sloan, all of Spencer; five step-grandsons, Sam Harper, T.W. (Maggie) Harper, Garrison Mace, Brandon Fauber, and Alex Fountaine; and one step-great granddaughter, Lili Harper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brian K. Batten; and one brother Jerry Batten.

Per Ronnie's wishes he was cremated and a memorial graveside service will be held at the Clover Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 with Rev. Danny Whited officiating.

Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
