FLATWOODS MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ABUSE

A Braxton County man, Danny Lee Smallwood, 33, of Flatwoods, has been charged with sexual abuse by a parent or guardian, sexual abuse 2nd/3rd degree, and displaying obscene material to a minor. He is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $75,000. Police say he had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl, allegedly forcing the girl into performing sexual acts. Police say Smallwood showed her graphic images on his phone. Gilmer authorities have charged Tammy Lynn Junkins, 34, with failure to pay child support and incarcerated her in Central Regional Jail. Bond at $2,000.
