WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Huntington Shootings, Armed Robbery

HUNTINGTON SHOOTINGS - Huntington Police responded to reports of a shooting on Forest Road in Huntington around 5 p.m. and found one person injured with gunshot wounds.

Carey Fleming was lying on the ground with non-life threatening wounds when police arrived on scene.

The shooter was described as a black man with a white shirt that got into a gold Ford Taurus.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver fled and crashed and he fled on foot.

Roughly 50 minutes after the first incident, a second shooting was reported. Working with Marshall police and state troopers, HPD arrived on scene where no victim was found.

Officials say witnesses claimed the victim was shot.

MORGANTOWN HEIST - West Virginia State troopers were alerted Monday to a 1 a.m. armed robbery at a Circle K near Morgantown.

Police observed Circle K surveillance video and determined that two people, one a man carrying a revolver entered the store, according to a press release from the West Virginia State Police.

That man then pointed the gun at the clerks face, demanding money from the register, taking cigarettes and $124 in cash, and took off with another man.

MAN SHOOTS SELF IN HAND - A man was arrested Sunday after accidentally shooting himself in the hand.

Justin Conner, 29, of Morgantown, was taken into custody after the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting.

Conner refused transport by EMS and was taken by deputies to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. After he was released from Ruby, he was charged with felon in possession of a firearm and a parole violation.
