Billy B. Fraley, 64 - Cox's Mills

Billy B. Fraley, age 64 of Dolphin Drive, Cox's Mills, West Virginia, departed this life late Thursday evening, April 2, 2015 at his residence, following an extended illness.

Born May 4, 1950 in Braxton County, West Virginia, son of the late Elbert and Nellie Dilley Fraley.

Billy was a laborer in the construction industry for most of his working life. He enjoyed mowing, weed eating, working on cars, gardening, watching westerns on TV, cooking, and he was a true jokester. Billy loved spending time with family and friends, and taking care of his favorite dogs, Tac and Addy.

On September 29, 2001, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Reed Fraley, who survives at their Dolphin Drive home.

Also surviving are 3 daughters, Wilma C. Bennett and husband Arthur of Volga, WV; Billy J. Hardisty of Orlando, WV; and Debra Ratliff and husband Eddie of Sand Fork, WV; 4 step-daughters, Darlene Hall and husband Edgar of Webster Springs, Patricia Reed of Weston, and Venessa Hamrick of Nashville, TN; 1 step-son, Breck A. Lamar II of Texas; 5 brothers, Chester Fraley and wife Connie of Glenville, David (Duck) Fraley and wife Donna of Braxton County, Lonnie Fraley and wife Maggie of Ripley, Elbert (Junior) Fraley of Linn, and Joseph (Joe) Fraley and wife Mandy of Gassaway; 4 sisters, Dorothy Emler of Maryland, Edith Christine Ellingsworth of Glenville, Wanda Aronhalt and husband Ernest of Martinsburg, and Mary Lou Conrad of Orlando, WV.

There are 15 grandchildren, Breanna Hamrick of Morgantown, Taylor Hamrick of Moundsville, Amber and Jacob Bennett of Volga, WV; Keith (Bubba) Hardisty of Ft. Hood, TX; Iva Hardisty of Orlando, WV; Christopher Ratliff of Sand Fork, WV; Jennifer Hendrix of Pipestem, WV; Edgar Hall of Webster Springs, Stefany Herron of Braxton County, Michael and Joshua Grogg of Ohio, Wendy Lynn Butler of Tennessee, Michelle Donahue and husband Brian of Winona, MN; and Justin Hamrick of Nashville, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also surviving.

Along with his parents, Elbert and Nellie, Billy was preceded in death by his first wife Leola Nan Fraley; 1 granddaughter, Elizabeth Hardisty; and 1 sister, Dixie Fraley.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 8, 2015 with Chaplain Bryon Bukovesky officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Heaters, WV. Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the mortuary.
