WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - WV Man Stabs Woman 13 Times Over "Cold Supper"

(03/03/2015)
STABS 13 TIMES - Michael Keeney, 36, of Cabin Creek, has been charged with 13 counts of malicious assault for stabbing a woman over a cold dinner that was served to him Sunday night, according to a criminal complaint.

Trooper N.M. Manolakos responded to a stabbing complaint from the Charleston Area Medical Center.

The complaint says the officer met with the victim and "immediately observed" the stab wounds on her hands.

She initially told him the wounds were from falling on ice.

Further questioning revealed Keeney attacked the victim over a cold dinner.

He smashed the dinner plate with a hammer and then used the hammer on her hand.

He then forced her to the ground and stabbed her in the hand 13 times, says the complaint.

Keeney is being held at the South Central Regional Jail on $5,000 bail.

DUNBAR HOLD-UP - Dunbar Police have released an up-close surveillance picture of a man accused of trying to hold up a Family Dollar store Monday.

Police say just before 11 a.m., the man walked into Family Dollar and showed a handwritten robbery note to the cashier, making threats he had a gun.

The cashier allegedly told the suspect she could not open the drawer without completing a transaction and he took off without getting any money.
