Olin C. "Rusty" Knight, 87 - Mineral Wells

Olin C. "Rusty" Knight, 87 of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away March 1, 2015 at Health South in Parkersburg.

He was born August 13, 1927 in Grantsville, W.Va. a son of the late Wilbert J. and Bessie M. Williamson Knight.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII as Military Police. He was a member of Union Local #10 Pipefitters and Masonic Lodge #3 in Petersville, VA.

Rusty is survived by his wife, Ruth Price Knight; a son, Leroy Akers of Virginia; two step-sons, Randy Fluharty (Donna) of Parkersburg and Rodney Fluharty (Kay) of Washington, W.Va.; two step-daughters, Pam Cooper (Gene) of Mineral Wells and Diane Benett (Jerry) of Lowell, OH; a sister, Dortha Lee Starling of Belpre, OH; a brother, John D Knight (Gigi) of Lubeck, W.Va; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine; a son, William Knight; two brothers, Jack and Gene Knight; and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wed., March 4, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. south Parkersburg with Pastor Randy Dornan officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will follow in the Family Center at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service on Wed. at the funeral home.
