WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Man Charged Shooting Kids With BB Gun For Discipline, Man Stabbed With Steak Knife

KIDS SHOT WITH BB GUN - Weirton Police say Joseph F. Majewski, 35, was allegedly disciplining his children by shooting them with a BB gun. Majewski was charged with three counts of child abuse with serious bodily injury and three counts of domestic battery.

Police said they confirmed the abuse through interviews and statements.

The victims were 6, 9 and 13 years old. All three children were taken to Weirton Medical Center in to be treated for their injuries.

Majewski is behind bars at Northern Regional. His bond is set at $120,000.

HITCH AND GO HEIST - Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an armed robbery in Elkview after midnight Friday from a caller who said he had been robbed at gunpoint by a man and a woman in the Hitch & Go Lane area.

According to deputies, the caller said a male and female came to his door and pretended to be law enforcement officers.

When he opened the door, they tied his hands and took his prescription pills and money.

After they left, he cut the ties on his hands and called for help.

BAR STABBING - Fairmont PolicE arrested a man they say stabbed another man at TG's Lounge Thursday afternoon.

Police say James Turner stabbed a black man in his chest with a steak knife. The victim, whose name has yet to be released, was initially taken to the Fairmont Regional Medical Center and then flown by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Turner initially fled the scene, but police apprehended him after the incident.

He was arraigned and taken to the North Central Regional Jail. Bail is set at $500,000.

MORGANTOWN HOLD-UP - The Morgantown Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery early Thursday morning at a Shell Gas Station.

Store employees told officers a white man, in his mid-thirties and wearing a Carhartt jacket, entered the store, said he had a gun and demanded money, according to a press release.

Police said the man left the store without any money. Officers were able to locate a David Daniel Deberry, of Reedsville, who matched the description of the robber.

he was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery in the first degree.

Deberry is in North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $50,000.
