Five Extension Master Gardener trainees recently served the required 30 hours of volunteer time for WVU Extension in and surrounding the communities of Roane County on various community gardening projects to be combined with their 30 hours of horticultural training they received from WVU Extension Service in Roane County to earn their certification.

The newly certified Extension Master Gardeners are Theresa Fulmer, Carol Williams, and Linda Shock, those not pictured include Sam Sheets and Gene Fulmer.

Each EMGer received a name badge and an appreciation gift from the local West Central Extension Master Gardener Association during their monthly meeting in January.
