The weather continues to be the news in the Creston area with temperatures falling to at least -15 degrees Fahrenheit with much colder temperatures recorded elsewhere in the state. Then there was the "warm up" with more snow and rain and then again more cold. A satellite picture showed the entire eastern part of America snow covered down into North Carolina, Georgia & Tennessee with the great lakes frozen over and many new record lows recorded.

While terrorists run rampant all over the globe and threaten all of western civilization the Big Eared One and his campaign organization state that the big danger is "global warming" and the head of the climate change division of the UN said that she can't wait to "completely redo" the world economy. The recent terror summit held down in the swamps of the lower Potomac indicated that the main danger in America is "right wing fanatics" such as the family over on Strait Creek where some male family members currently are lodged in the Hotel Crossbar for alleged sex crimes. The Big Eared One even got upset when the headman in Egypt killed some of the ISIS savages in Libya after they beheaded 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians. Lots of hard questions need to be asked. America's mayor has already said his piece.

West Virginia made the national news over the oil train wreck in Fayette County. One of the late Bob Criss's granddaughters lived in the house next door to the one that exploded. Part of the story that didn't get much ink is that Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) bought the Burlington Northern Railroad and took it private and he is netting $2 billion/month hauling crude oil from the Bakken field in North Dakota and Canada. Since he is one of the Big Eared One's sugar daddies it is easy to understand why the Keystone oil pipeline will be vetoed. This is "crony capitalism" at its "best" and is and has been common with despots and crooked politicians world wide. There seems to be mystery as to where the oil is going but some presume that it is being exported. A man who lives in Delaware said unit oil trains come to his area via Canada on a regular basis and Bob Tebay, the new Wood County Commissioner, noted that there was a huge rail yard in Williston, North Dakota, center of the Bakken shale oil field, filled with brand new oil tank cars.

Down at the Mouth of the Elk one of the topics is the "judicial lottery" after it was discovered that Robin Davis, the head supreme, also known as Mrs. Scott Seagull's husband sold the family jet plane to a trial lawyer from Mississippi who has a big nursing home case in front of her. This lawyer's hometown is Plant City Florida and many folks there of modest means gave $1,000 each to her reelection campaign in West Virginia. As has been said, "We have the best money can buy".

Many local folks, especially the young ones, patronized McDonald's but the company has come upon bad times recently with the CEO being fired. The vegans and the "animal rights" folks attacked the company and, apparently not realizing that the "do gooders" really wanted to put them out of business, management tried to compromise and changed the way they cooked their fries -- generally considered to be the best anywhere this side of Price Edward Island. This of course changed the taste and regular customers went elsewhere. When one has avowed enemies there is no compromise. One must fight to win and win totally. The Big Eared One's state department says we can defeat the terrorists by giving them job training and jobs something that has not happened for the most part in the U.S. in recent years as there have been more immigrants, mostly illegal, than new jobs created.

Many are concerned about the measles epidemic that has spread all over the country. While the powers that be blame parents who fear vaccination, it would seem very likely that the source of the once eradicated disease is the large group of "children" some with graying temples that was brought across the border and disbursed throughout the country by Dear Leader without any health checks. Spread of old time diseases would help "bring America to its knees" as some have demanded.

The repeal of little boy Unger's tank bill is said to be held up in the legislature by those who want to put small business out of business. The DEP, it is reported wants tank owners to start paying fees to them now. Also the big company forced pooling bill is in the hopper. In addition to taking peoples minerals away from them for pennies on the dollar the bill allows the big boys to not spot abandoned and plugged wells on their plats. The examples of the Bruce Bell well at Sanoma, the Parker well in Roane County, a recent well on Yellow Creek and the Kirk Hadley Chesapeake well in Tyler County show the environmental insensitivity of such a move. When there are problems hydrocarbons migrate to the old wellbores and then go up to the aquifers and the surface.

Madame Hillary plans to be the next el presidente as she is entitled but problems keep coming up. Recently it was noted that the Bill, Hillary & Chelsa Clinton Foundation through which their funds and employees go through has accepted big money from the Kingdoms of Norway & Saudi Arabia, Arab sheiks, a Ukrainian billionaire and a/the Ethiopian billionaire as well as all of the big banks. The big banks know that she will continue the Big Eared One's policies [enriching the one percent] and those folks have little Jebbie Bush as their backup man in case she fouls up.

Anna & Adam Yates have been visiting Rea & W. Harrison Schenerlein IV and family including Betty Lou, Dave and Kerri Welch, etc. Travelers report that gasoline can be purchased in the Commonwealth of Virginia for less that $2/gallon. The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude dropped to $49.34/bbl. with drip fetching $25.34/ bbl. and Marcellus & Utica light $43.34 and medium $49.34/bbl.
