UPDATE: NWS SEVERE WEATHER ADVISORIES - Thursday Night Low -7 To -12, Snow Saturday, Protect Your Pets

The temperature drop will be record breaking for the region.

A Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 9 PM Wednesday to 1 am EST Friday with Wind Chill readings -10 to -20 below zero.

The NWS has changed the temperature forecasts a little.

Thursday's high 11.

Thursday night's low - 7 to -12.

Friday's high 17.

Friday night's low 3.

The NWS is predicting 3-5" of snow Saturday.

Sub-zero temperatures are predicted for next week.P> A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves. Be extra careful with auxiliary home heat sources.

Animal pets outside need to be brought to a warmer setting.
