MINNIE HAMILTON HEALTH SYSTEM ANNOUNCES LAST CHANCE FOR AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE IN 2015

(02/12/2015)
February 15 is your last chance to enroll in the health insurance marketplace for coverage in 2015. Because of the Affordable Care Act, health care is finally affordable for millions of Americans and their families.

87 percent of people who selected 2015 plans through Healthcare.gov in the first two months of Open Enrollment got financial assistance to help lower the cost of premiums.

If you can't afford health coverage, you're not required to buy it. If you didn't qualify for Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) coverage, and you aren't eligible for lower costs through the Health Insurance Marketplace, you still have options that could help. You can apply for an exemption so you won't have to pay a fee for going without coverage.

Whether you're uninsured, or just want to explore your choices, the Marketplace will help find coverage that's right for you. Remember, if you don't have health coverage, you will owe a penalty when you file your taxes.

Application Counselors are available at Minnie Hamilton Health System to help answer your questions. Evening and weekend appointments are available through February 15, 2015, as well as regular office hours 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Call 304-354-9244, Ext. 1409, for more information or to schedule your appointment.
