Rebecca Ann Smith, 76 - Spencer

Rebecca Ann Smith, 76, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at home.

She was born February 4, 1939 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Elbert and Belva Nichols Smith. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Lauretta Nichols of Grantsville, West Virginia, Monica Lea Adkins of Leroy, West Virginia, Balana Eugenia Goff of Spencer, and Sarah Leah Snyder of Spencer; a sister, Barbara Gordon of Texas; three brothers, Kenneth Smith of Witchita, Kansas, Johnny Smith of Mt. Olive, West Virginia, and Richard Smith of Spencer; and twelve grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Smith; a son, Mike Smith; a sister, Maysel Walker; and five brothers, Ben, Bob, George, Bill, and an infant, Lewis.

Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Danny Whited and Rev. Donald Cottrill officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartlett-Little Creek Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
