GASOLINE PRICES ARE UP-TICKING

Gasoline prices around the USA dropped a record 123 days in a row.

The price per gallon in some parts of West Virginia dropped to less than $2 a gallon for unleaded regular.

That has ended with an the costs rising up to $2.17 a gallon in many parts of the state, with costs still remaining higher in other parts.

The decline was the lowest national average gas price since March 27, 2009, according to AAA.

The International Energy Agency said the plummet in crude oil prices in 2014 was caused by record oil output from countries not included in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), including the U.S., and lower-than-expected growth in oil demand.

Gasoline prices have increased an average of 22 cents during the month of February for the past five years.

With a major push to build the Keystone Pipeline from Canada to the Gulf, the US is energy self-sufficient with oil and natural gas, and Alaska's economy is majorly suffering with the exporting of oil through the Alaskan pipeline with low prices.

Still, oil companies are pushing the Keystone project and Washington Republicans are on board saying it will create jobs.
