CALHOUN CIRCUIT COURT REPORT

ORIGINAL STORY - Senior Status Judge John Henning appeared in Calhoun County for Judge Thomas Evans for Calhoun Circuit Court Friday.

Orville Doolitte appeared for an arraignment hearing on his indictment for sexual abuse by a parent and incest. His case was set for jury trial on June 30, according to prosecutor Shannon Johnson.

Timothy Bowe appeared and entered a plea of guilty to possession of marijuana, greater than 15 grams. He was sentenced to 90 days to six months in jail. That time was suspended for one year supervised probation. He was ordered to pay a $1000 fine and the court costs of the case.

Prosecutor Johnson said Andrew Tanner appeared for a pre-trial on his charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny. The case will come for trial on February 17. David Booher appeared for a pre-trial hearing on his charges of forgery and uttering. The case will come for trial on February 17.

Jason Bell appeared for a Status Hearing. Mr. Bell has successfully completed his pre-trial diversion period and the case against him was dismissed.

Allen Carpenter appeared for a Motion to Revoke his home confinement. He admitted to violating home confinement and the court found that, with credit for time served, he had served his original sentence and the case was dismissed.

Mark Harris appeared for a Probation Violation hearing. He admitted to violating his probation and was sentenced to ten days in jail.

There were also ten juvenile hearings on the docket.

The next court date is February 5 with Judge David Nibert presiding.
