James Oran "Jimmy" Snyder Jr., 55 - Cox's Mills

James Oran "Jimmy" Snyder Jr. age 55 of Cox's Mills, West Virginia, departed this life Tuesday evening, January 20, 2015 at the Genesis Health Care Center, Glenville, West Virginia, following an extended illness.

Born August 3, 1959 in Akron, Ohio, son of Elsie Louise Grimes Snyder Alltop of Cox's Mills, and the late James Oran Snyder Sr., who departed this life on March 14, 1973.

Jimmy was a graduate of Gilmer County High School class of 1978, and worked for 24 years at the Thomas Memorial Hospital, in Charleston, West Virginia. Jimmy enjoyed Bowling, Gambling, listening to country music, and all types of sports. His true passion was football, he was a lifetime Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved watching the sport on television.

Jimmy is survived by 2 sisters, Shirley Cogar and husband Lee and Sharon Zinn and husband Manley all of Cox's Mills, and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the area.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc; 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 with Chaplin Bryon Bukovesky officiating. Burial will follow in the Horn Creek Cemetery, in Cox's Mills. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday evening, January 23, 2015 at the mortuary.

Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Jimmy Snyder with arrangements.
