MORGANTOWN MURDER - One person is dead and troopers continue to search for a man accused of shooting several people Thursday night in Monongalia County.

West Virginia State Police were dispatched to a shooting at Solomons Village around 7:45 p.m.

After an investigation, State Police said Jason Curtis Boyd, 22, of Morgantown, fired several shots into a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Luther D. Hill III, 43, of Morgantown, who died.

The vehicle was then driven to Marjorie Gardens apartment complex where Hill and several victims were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Boyd fled the scene in a a vehicle, which was later discovered abandoned in Sabraton area.

Three warrants have been obtained for Boyd on charges of malicious wounding, murder and wanton endangerment.

Troopers said Boyd should be considered armed and dangerous.
