Betty Lou (Stump) Rowland,81, of Muncie, Indiana, born February 13, 1932 in Grantsville, WV, passed away on December 29, 2014 at Hooverwood Nursing Home in Indianapolis.

Betty was preceded in passing by husband, Horace "Ed" Rowland, whom she married on February 12, 1955 and her parents Erra and Ruby Stump, siblings Bernard, Isabella, Evelyn, Kathryn, and Claire and grandson Carl Edward Rowland.

Her extended family includes children Mark (Debbie) Rowland of Westerville OH, Alan (Julie) Rowland of Indianapolis, Barry Rowland of Muncie, Nancy (Michael) Busk of Indianapolis, and Marsha Orth (Mel) Feathers of Sebring FL, along with grandchildren Tyler and Allison Rowland, Christina Rowland, Jamie (Darci) Orth and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was a graduate of Calhoun County High School. Ed and Betty lived in Akron, Ohio until 1969 when they relocated to Muncie, Indiana. After years as a homemaker, she became a sales associate at J.C. Penny in Muncie, retiring after more than 20 years of service. She attended Shawnee Heights Baptist Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society, Muncie Chapter 104, Order of the Eastern Star and had actively supported Muncie Shrine Club activities with her husband.

Funeral services were held at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams St. Muncie, IN with Pastor Dennis Hammons officiating. Interment at Gardens of Memory.
